The time has come to produce and promote our own sport horses, the American
Warmblood. By monitoring breeding through Inspections and performance the
AWS ensures the selective breeding of the ideal sport horse.

The ideal American sport horse is noble and correctly built of the modern
type and is capable of superior performance in the Olympic disciplines of
Dressage, Show Jumping, Combined Training/Eventing and combined driving.

The American Warmblood Society is a non-profit Performance Horse Corporation
founded in 1983 and dedicated to the Olympic Sport Horse. As one of the
Associate Members of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH),
the AWS promotes, represents, records and registers Horses for the Olympic
Sports and Combined Driving worldwide and is actively involved with the
issues of Breeding Selection, Performance Indexing, Research and continuing
Education in the Sport Horse industry
