2009 Breeder of the Year Award

Congratulations to Anne Machler, AM Sunset Farms, AZ for being the AWS Breeder of the Year. Anne has been an AWS member since 2002 and has also organized several AWS inspections, in 2009 organizing at the last minute. Anne always goes out of her way to help all the participants. She has continued improving her breeding program over the years and this year her foal crop averaged 77.400%. Anne's 2 year old AMF Rico Bay /*/*/ / / / is also the AWS Inspection Young Horse of the Year with a score of 87%.
The "Breeder of the Year" this year was determined by using the top four (4) AWS registered off-spring that were registered in 2009 and had the highest average Inspection or In-Hand scores. The economy has had an impact on everyone's breeding program and most breeders only bred three or less offspring.
We thank all qualifying breeders in this years calculations. All of these breeders are doing a good job in their breeding programs producing quality American Warmbloods. Continued success in 2010.
