2008 PROGENY STUDY OF "APPROVED FOR BREEDING" STALLIONS (as of December 1, 2007)

This is the eleventh annual Progeny study and part of the on going AWS Breeder's Incentive Program. The study results include all AWS "Approved for Breeding" Stallions with at least 5 AWS registered off-spring that have Inspection or In-Hand scores from any time. "Approved for Breeding" Stallions not listed do not have the minimum required off-spring (5) with scores for this study at this time.

Congratulations! The AWS Stallion & Mare owners breeding programs have proven themselves again in 2007. These breeders are producing good, sound, solid performing North American Sport Horses. Not everyone strives for the Olympics but everyone should expect years of riding enjoyment on a sound horse. Check out the AWS National "2007 Inspection and In-Hand" award winners. The AWS horses just keep getting better!

Excluded from AWS Studies? The AWS often receive requests for information about warmbloods for sale and/or scores of breeder's horses. All elements of Inspection scores (conformation, movement & suitable to progress thru the levels) are available after horses are inspected by the AWS. The AWS always maintains the highest score. If the off-spring are not registered with the AWS or we have no performance scores available, you are not taking advantage of this free promotional service.

As a full member of the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH), the AWS is committed to reporting performance of all "Approved for Breeding" stallions & their off-spring to the WBFSH. Don't miss out on this opportunity. Take advantage of the AWS promotions. Get your stallion "Approved for Breeding" and make sure his off-spring are registered AWS and have Inspection or In-Hand scores.

  • ELITE = Horses that have Proven Sport Horse Bloodlines for at least four generations
  • SUPREME = Horses that have outstanding (80% +) AWS Inspection scores
  • NOMINATED = Horses that are 100% hot bloods (Arab or TB)
