Currently only 19% of the AWS Registered, Recorded and Nominated horses qualify for one or more of these stars. The 5-Star Recognition Program is for the purpose of identifying the most talented Sport Horses and Sport Ponies in both the Main Book and the Elite Books. The 5-Star Recognition program is required for all “Approved for Breeding” horses.

 

Horse names displaying these stars identify the highest rated American horses to the world! All Stallions and Mares can earn up to 5 stars and Geldings can earn up to 3 stars. These stars will follow their name to recognize their superior qualities and talents.
