DNA  TEST  REQUEST

 

DNA Testing is only available for AWS Registered, Recorded or Nominated horses.

 

The AWS is now tracking all performance to produce accurate performance ratings. This task will contribute to the accelerated success of all American Warmblood horses and their Breeders.  As a Full Member with the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH) this DNA testing is required unless A or B or C below have been satisfied.

 

    A. Enclose copy of Breeding/Covering Certificate  -  or

    B. DNA Case Number (if previously DNA tested:     -  or

    C. If previously Registered with another Association enclose copy of reg. papers 

 

All Elite horses and “Approved for breeding” stallions and mares are required to be DNA tested.  DNA testing uses only a few horse hairs to verify bloodlines and to positively identify horses.   

 

Please legibly complete all information. 

 

Note:  Bloodtyping is not the same as DNA testing. The AWS is only

            requesting DNA test results.  If your horse has been DNA tested

            please provide the DNA test case #.
